DH has just forwarded me an email from a woman I don't know inviting him to her wedding in Holland! When i started reading it I thought - Oh nice we could spend a weekend in Holland!
and then I read 'What do you think? Can you leave your little family alone for a few days to come to Holland! How can the silly bag invite him and not us to her wedding!

.....or am I over reacting?

Why would he forward a message like that? I know the typical woman who wants a treandy wedding and no kids or boring wifes allowed , what she is forgetting is that she is shortly to become one! Ha HA HAAAAA

lol lacrimosa, feel better already. she's probably a boring cow anyway... could make lots more derogatory (sp?) comments here to get it off my chest, but I'll control myself!

We haven't had our wedding party yet so I'll have to make a point of inviting her husband and not her! !

he forwarded it to ask me what i thought!!!!!

At least he didn't try and hide it from you - I would have found that even more annoying.

Seems odd to invite just him and not you as well - unless she isn't inviting children and assumed that you would stay at home with yours.

i'm not annoyed with him (yet - have to wait to see what he says about it) but with her for treating me and ds as dispensible objects. how could someone do that!

Surely she means leave the kids.

I've never heard of anyone refusing to invite someone's spouse or partner to a wedding!?!

The whole event is about union and loving relationships. Are you sure it doesn't just mean leave the kids behind. THAT I can understand.

I don't know how he knows her, I've never heard of her before, but he has loads of friends and lots of people from the past that keep popping up! (especially since he became a dad and emailed every person that ever gave him their email address)

The email was in German and she used the 'du' form which definitely means they were only inviting him!
