It gets very surreal later on. I watched all the series on Sky One and was hooked. Can't wait for the new series to come out. Need RTKanga to find out when the new one starts.

Never seen it! Have missed out, obviously.

I am also obsessed with this show. But have seen all existing episodes and am waiting for new series to find out what happens after theabsolutely horrifying cliffhanger of the last series.
There is something addictive about it, definitely.

Even my dh likes it. And we enjoy yowling at the incredibly realistic plastic surgery to music interludes - yikes.
It does get weirder, honestly. You can't believe it atm, but it does.
It's so exciting and fast.

I won't reveal the ending, but to quote from one review "As the season peaks and comes to an end, so much happens, I can't even explain it. There are so many disturbing twists, it's just an emotional roller coaster. The relationship between Ava and her "adopted son" is not what it seems to be and, without giving too much away, becomes incredibly powerful in the finale. The cliffhanger in the finale is one of the best cliffhangers I have ever seen. While it seems like it would be predictable, nothing can prepare you for it."

The finale has something to do with the murderer/ knifeman and both surgeons!

It's incredibly horrible, I have to say.

I haven't watched the repeats on C4 so didn't know how far into the 2nd series it was - if you think it is surreal already, wait for the final episode!!

Yes, I know it's exactly the sort of thing dh would think he wouldn't like if he hadn't seen it, but as it was, we would both gibber 'oooh niptuck, niptuck, goody!" at each other on niptuck nights. This sounds horrifically sad, doesn't it?

Ava is the Life Coach who seduced Sean and Julia's son.

aloha Mon 01-Aug-05 15:24:37

Well, not really Sean's, technically speaking...

Loveit although I will admit I was tempted into watching it because of the divine Mr McMahon. I was sure it was going to be tripe and was very pleasantly surprised to find it incredibly addictive. We haven't got Sky, but I made my MIL tape it for me, I still blush at the thought of her watching it and then making me explain bits to her.....

Can't wait for season 3, although I've heard (unconfirmed) rumours that it's been cancelled. I find that hard to believe though, as I think it was one of the top rated shows on its channel in the US.

It is about the only thing that I watch, I love it although it has got very odd of late.

thoughts of it being cancelled scared me.. but
nip/tuck cancelled

it seems true!!!
