Bad experience on ebay............upset

I bought some goods off ebay (baby clothes job-lot). I won the item at the starting price 99p - postage being £8.
I paid instantly, and a while later he emailed me to say he'd miscalculated the cost of postage and wanted an extra £2.49. Fair enough, sometimes it happens and I paid. Ebay's policy being that if postage is more than stated you can ask for the extra cost.
Picked the package up from the post office today and the postage was £7.20 so surely was within the original £8 agreed postage. We thought this was a bit cheeky but everyone tries to make a bit of profit on postage (admittedly not so blatently) so I let it go - after all I only paid 99p for a big bag of baby clothes and shoes that were advertised as Next, Mothercare, Boots etc along with some brand new sandles.
I opened up the package, there were no Next items of clothes and no sandles (one of the main reasons I bid on the whole lot), and the other clothes were not too sharp, but its the risk you take on ebay.
I decided to give him bad feedback because of the misleading description and lack of shoes. I didn't mention the extra money unnecassarily asked for.
He emailed me before leaving his feedback calling me an 'evil nasty' woman.
A bit over the top I think, considering I was merely stating facts!
I sent him an email explaining the bad feedback and the fact that we had not mentioned his extra little money making scheme with the postage.

He left his feedback - something along the lines of 'Nasty evil woman what more does she want? She got £100 of clothes for 99p'
I'd say that if the clothes were new (back in 1986 when they look like they were bought) they'd be worth £10-£15 tops! Maybe more if they had all the items listed in his description!
Ive been talking to him all day and he's been getting more and more abusive and putting all the blame on me and Im getting a bit upset about it.

Wondered if anyone else had had any similar experiences?

Whatever you do don't buy anything from mrbootman

your link isnt working.
sorry about your bad experience, did the clothes match the photo in the description? if they did but just didnt look too good in rl, then its an unfortunate risk you take, esp if description doesnt describe them as excellent, however, if items were missing and he had the gall to ask for extra postage thats not on, i would have emailed him first before leaving feedback, however you can report him to ebay and ask squaretrade to remove the bad feedback.

He is being completely out of order. He is the one that is in the wrong not you. Why on earth is he calling you evil, you only left him nad feedback which he was entitled to receive. How about asking him to send the rest of the clothes he adverstised and then you will happily withdraw your feedback you left for him (as long as he does the same)

In the meantime, contact Ebay and tell them about this seller, he is breaking Ebay rules.

keep the emails. any abusive emails means you might able to get him kicked off ebay.

have just had a sneaky peek at yours and his feedback and his is def worse than yours, dont understand his comment to compare them cos he comes off much worse! sounds like its not the first time he has ripped someone off, i would certainly complain

just checked out his feedback too and its not brill, the pictures not brill to be honest, hes just sort of lumped the clothes together and not listing down everything individually is very crafty, means he doesnt have to put everything in the bundle.

i had a bad experience like this too and it was with a bundle too. Different seller though. Have never bought bundles since.

i sold a bundle of dd2's baby clothes back in march on ebay and i put them in a bundle for the pic but listed each item so the buyer knew what they were getting, then had a pic slideshow showing about 2/3 outfits in each pic

Hi, thanks for responses. I am going to report him, I did try to but ebay say 'not enough time has lapsed' have to wait until 3rd August. Hunker Munker-great qoute, I thought this was amusing too! No, the sandals were not in there, he didnt care about this and said in an email- 'do you want a free ride' think this meant 'what do you want for 99p' He sent me another email a little while ago calling me a selfish woman.
