30th Birthday today - what's good about 30?!?!?

Ok, have not been looking forward to reaching 30. Have enjoyed my 20's and suddenly feel old (which wasn't helped by 8 year old DD looking me over and telling me 'hmm well Mummy you don't look THAT old )

So what's good about being in your 30s?

not being in your 40s? I love my 30s because I'm married so don't have to do the hideous dating I did in my 20s. Also I had no money for the first half of my twenties because I was a student.

I turned 30 - headed off overseas for a trip then the year later went overseas again.... two years after turning 30 met my fab dh and four years after turning 30 had my dd1 and then two years later my dd2 - so far my 30's have been FAB

Married at 19, DD at 21, DS at 28. House bought. etc etc!

My fault for doing everything so young lol!

30's is the best so far (now 37). Hopefully life begins at 40 and our 30's are a warm-up, but I can honestly say if i had to choose an age to stay at for life it would be 35ish.

I too turned 30 2 weeks ago and what a depresive thought it was.

Had a fab party on the friday and on my birthday day(sun) spent it slouching in my jammies feeling sorry for myself

Well I remember reading somewhere that it starts at between 34 and 38 and then lasts another 10 years.

Which sounds rather exhausting, from where I'm sitting!
