how do you shuffle the songs in a playlist?

Menu- artist/song/playlist etc - shuffle (on) I think! bought boyf one for his b'day only looked at it once though when I was setting it up for him. in fact, I'm no use at all, wait for someone less dumb! toodle pip!

I have tried that Mascara and it still plods through them in boring alphabetical order

it will shuffle ALL the songs on the Ipod which means you get Laura Cantrell/Groove Armada/songs from Peter Pan - NOT so good.

On my ipod mini you go to settings and push central button till it says songs.

Yes, both of those are fab and are often played on my compooter.

yeah scumster but that goes through all 3,000 songs on the ipod - it doesnt choose a specific playlist - I have made a seperate playlist of about 20 albums that I want it to shuffle

On mine if it's shuffling then it'll shuffle the playlist automatically. There's a little sign to show that shuffle is on.

have fforwarded nd its gone dutifully to number 2 will wait unitl its finished and see if it randomly selects one

Try picking the song you want to hear first from the playlist. If that is then song 1 you'll know it's working.
