flying ants

the first summer we moved into this house we noticed them. lots of flying ants, trying to make their way out. they end up crawling on our kitchen window and the window by our front door. they are also on the kitchen worktops, though mostly dead ones that fall down from the window. i have found where they appear from... by the skirting board in the kitchen. we bought a spray, but it doesn't help much. i went to bring some washing in from outside earlier and noticed they were hundreds of them in patches on our patio and on the grass too. is there anything we can do to get them out of the house?

Ant Stop is great (it's a spray that they take back into the anthill which then kills them all). We have an invasion most summers - they seem to chew through our concrete floors!

Nooka, our have burrowed/chewed all the way from outside, right under the kitched and out under the kitchen cupboards.

A distance of probably 9 or 10 foot.

Concrete floors too.

And Lilaclotus, we've had them evry summer for 4 yrs now(since we moved in)and there isn't anything that will stop them coming back as I phoned a pest control company to ask.
They said they could come a treat the whole area but they(the ants) will come back as the just find a different stop to start at. They will eventually move on if you keep putting down spray etc but it won't be immediate.

Flying ants are the bain of my life in the summer.

RTKM, I wish I knew because then I'd move it outside so that they take their nest elsewhere
