Needed: 'Cheap as chips' but lovely 3 day honeymoon

We're getting married next month and have postponed the idea of a flashy honeymoon due to potentially imminent financial crisis. How responsible I hear you cry! Only kids can do that to you.

But,...... reckon we could scrape a couple of nights somewhere in the UK, preferable south of England preferably we are near M4 and dp drives thousands of miles weekly so would appreciate a shortish drive.

anyone recommend somewhere lovely but quite erm, inexpensive. (bouncy beds too obviously )

Could you stretch to a ryanair flight somewhere, they fly to paris. Depends on dates and times but you can get a bargain then use one of the countless travel website for budget hotel.

They both look nice. Have you been?

We've got a four poster room for our first night after wedding. It overlooks the church we are getting married in. 1, 2, 3 ahhhhhhhh. Might be too godly for nooky.

If you want to travel that far, we had our honeymoon in a lovely hotel in north wales, around £90 a night d,b&b & it was lovely, food was superb.

Book a coach house room for more privacy .

Flum how much do you want to spend in total?

We stayed at \linkwww.drakesofbrighton.com\Drakes} in Brighton recently, which was fab. Get a circular room with the bath in the window looking out over the sea!

Dunno really. Nothing. 200 quid. 300quid tops. anymore than that and we might as well get a teletext holiday from hell.

I'm trying to persuade him to go camping for a few days but hes having none of it.

Hey Flum, I reckon Brighton's your best bet, it's trendy, has good restaurants, a beach, is in the South, plus there are some nice and not expensive hotels: look at this site , I've just browsed some of the hotels and The Claremont looks good, but also on that site, look at the Brighton Wave the rooms look nice and you could prob haggle, in fact you must! Or if you're crap at haggling I'll do it for you, consider it a wedding present. Cod has my email and can give it to you. Check the special offers though, some are within your budget I think.

Flum, what abotu a house from the litte domain? No idea whether they'll have anything but I bet they have some nice places at less than the cost of an hotel.
