What factor sun cream do you wear?

Dh and I were talking about when we were kids and high factor sun cream was 8, and most of the time we wore SPF4 (we're both in our late 30s, so this was the 70s).
Now we routinely wear SPF30 and both of us have quite "tough" skins, not sensitive at all.

So what SPF do you wear?

Theres not a hugfe amount of difference after factor 15, according to the cancer research website

"factor 15 sunscreen offers about 93% protection
factor 30 sunscreen offers about 96% protection
factor 60 sunscreen offers about 98% protection"

Factor 30. MIL commented to me recently about my "tan" as my arms have still gone brown, and was surprised when I told her I wear Factor 30.
I think the trend is now to keep out of the sun and not burn/tan.

(Have to confess though that I did use Ambre Solaire factor 2 tanning oil when I was MUCH younger)

I am a suncream freak - factor 50 and always a t-shirt for DS aged 3, factor 35 on DD (6) and facial suncream factor 40 on her face but factor 50 if she's in the pool. They both nagged their big cousins (teenagers) today who couldn't be bothered with suncream! We won! I always wear 35.

Factor 60 when I remember - but frequently forget and get burnt (am very fair skinned). Very stupid of me - I know I should just stick it on every time I go out in the summer but I never do.

Factor 60. Plus cover up in the sun and keep kids in/in the shade between 11-3 if very hot.

like jane says, there isn't much difference. usually 15 or 20. am fairly pale so don't go in for much sunbathing anyway.

I wear at least factor 25 in UK; higher abroad. I burn easily. DD always wears at least factor 30-40 and sunblock on her face. She, luckily, does not burn eaasily by the looks of it. We also top it up really regularly, ever couple of hours at least.

Factor 50 - but then that's because I'm tight and share the kids' suntan lotion

I always use sunblock. Whether abroad or at home, I get to spend all of 30 mins of the first day shirtless in the sun and after that it's a shirt all day for the rest of my holiday.
