I mean what sort of crappy customer service is that?
And they just play me crappy pseudo-spanish guitar hold music and say things like "why don't you consider an upgrade to Club Class" and "you can do everything through our website you know".... OH NO YOU CAN'T, I WOULDN'T BE HANGING ON HERE IF YOU BLOODY COULD

thank you I feel better now

i hope its a free phone number and not 0870.

PrincessPeaHead Fri 15-Jul-05 12:41:53

it was 0870.
and I gave up after 62 minutes.

shocking

0870 is a preium rate number - it'll prob cost a fortune!

pphyou shoudl have rung hteir head office and moaned.. mind oyu saturday- it probably shut

TracyK Sat 16-Jul-05 16:58:23

theres a web site www.saynoto0870.co.uk ( or com) that will give you the equivalent normal phone number for an 0870 number. I refuse to phone any 0870 numbers and was appalled to see that the info line for the London bombings was an 0870 number!

Me too, Tracy - there was an apology later - they did it mainly because they could get a lot more lines straight away than with an 0800 number, so I read.

pph, there are loads of geographic alternative no's for BA on saynoto0870 - eg for 0870 5511155 or 8504850 or 8508506 it gives 0191 490 7901 (hm, that's Newcastle). There are some 0845 no's too which are quite cheap at the weekend.

For BA Duty Manager it gives 0208 745 6155 but says it diverts to security when unattended, not sure if you'd want them.
