It'll definitely work on glass but might not have much staying power. Which i doubt will be a problem - you can just take it off with remover and repaint if it gets chipped.

If you "scuff" the glass a bit with some fine sandpaper (stick with me here!) it should make the nailvarnish to adhere to the surface better.

What about glass paint? More expense, I know but you might just have some lying around the house!
