Is there anyone out there who feels compelled to do the housework etc. when it's really hot outside!!!

Only asking 'cos my house is a tip today and am so hot can only bring myself to do the bare minimum - i.e. cook dinner and hang a couple of lots of washing on the line!!

I feel really guilty but just can't be bothered 'cos of the heat. Am I the only one?????

I will not do anything tonight when I get home although DP has been at home all day and has done nothing not even washed his dishes.

I kind of have to forgive him as he has been out to buy ans airconditioning unit for the bedroom so i can sleep tonight.

Perhaps my ironing will create sauna-effect in my bedroom and with any luck will sweat off a pound or two!!!!!

I cant be arsed to do anything but have to other wise nothing will get done until November. We are in the mid 40s during the day now, late 20s early 30s at night.. so even loading the dishwasher or hanging the washing out breaks me out in a sweat. I really need to get my front room done tonight though as god knows what ds will be picking of the floor to put in his mouth.....

Suppose better go and get started.......

can't face it either but the flies are too accusing.

luckily, dh is on paternity leave + he is thin (unlike me ATM) so I make him do bits and pieces. while i feed baby and post on mn.

I just can't get motivated to do housework. I'm trying to relax about it because I know that it's so much easier to do if you wait til the motivation grabs you.

I have one thing to say. Naked Housework.

DH has just retorted with 'you lazy mares, all you have to do is stay at home and look after the baby, and you couldn't even be bothered to do the washing up. Disgraceful.'

This is as it's my day off again and as it was far too hot to move I didn't hoover, wash up or even move last night's dinner stuff from where we left it
