Ok not so much tell as advise what tiles to have .. as have just now decided I don't want granite upstands

traditional (possibly dull but I think classic) kitchen -light oak, shaker style cabinets, brushed steel door handles, hob, chimney hood. black granite worktop(star galaxy - has little bronzey flecks in it). sandstoney floor. white painted plaster walls

go on then . find me the tiles

Translucent white with black trim - world's end tiles in Battersea have some lovely glass mosaic tiles.

They are a bugger to keep grout clean though.

Twiglett - I've given up trying to find tiles for my kitchen and I've had a stainless steel upstand.

And your kitchen sounds just like mine

sorrel Tue 12-Jul-05 16:16:09

any of these?

sorrel Tue 12-Jul-05 16:38:57

i like these too;
tiles

Twiglett Tue 12-Jul-05 16:51:48

hmmm .. definitely not mosaic for us

like the idea of stoney coloured .. but do you think that might look naff with black granite??

I am assuming I need splashback along the whole run of cabinets .. or is it just hob and sink I need ?

There are lots of links on here

I don't think I could order off the web, though, unless i'd already seen them in the flesh...

We are waiting for ours at the moment having posed the same question with a similar kitchen a few weeks back...

We settled for natural mediterranean style glaze in mostly cream with caramel and burgundy

Twiglett Tue 12-Jul-05 17:02:22

men's loo tiles .. oh but they are aren't they

no I think I want either square or oversized square

my problem is too much choice not too little .. I need the choices refined for me
