every single day?
i sit here and sit here and eventually ring him to see if he's coming home from work.

i mean... if it were me i'd be out of there asap.

maybe he just doesn't like being here. hmmm

eh? you have to ASK him to leave work? Is he the boss?

Report
starlover · 11/07/2005 18:55

no! he always says it's because he gets engrossed in stuff... and he doesn't wear a watch.

he's always the last one to leave though.. i mean he must realise how late it is when everyone else goes home!

goodness me, and i guess he gets paid overtime for this?

Because he probably really enjoys his job, if I know my DH is busy and has a big project on I ring him at 5.30 to remind him where he lives.

If he worked locally, I would leave it later, but a 5.30 nudge means he doesn't get here until 7.00

My DH doesn't even notice people packing up around him to go home

cc... NO! he gets no overtime. if he did i wouldn't mind so much! lol

think you might be right MGR. i think dp is just glad the others aren't there annoying him any more! lol

what actually annoys me more is that i ring him and he'll say "i'll be there in half an hour"
so i start dinner and he doesn't turn up for like an hour or more!

!!!!!!

I'd bloody hit the roof if my DH did that WITHOUT getting over time.

start charging him a hourly child minding rate after, say, 6pm if he wasn't there to help out with the kids.

snap starlover

i always wander whether he would ever return if i didn't ring

he says he stays cos he likes a frsh start everyday and not have to deal with yesterdays crap

when rushed i just send a text saying "etd?"

I don't have this problem as I pick DH up from work

Means I get the car during the day (we take him to work too!) and also that he's home at a reasonable hour each day He only works about three miles away, as opposed to before he got this lovely new job when he worked 33 miles away and often wasn't home till after 7pm, and I had no car during the day

Yes but I am willing to bet that he is well paid ....

Report
starlover · 11/07/2005 19:24

he is reasonably well-paid...

but he could be even better paid for same job if willing to travel a little further!

actyally what annoys me more is that he is the only one in the company that does this.

everyone else leaves at 5pm.

jut feel like they take advantage sometimes
