Anyone a blogger?

I don't suppose there will be many as there are only meant to be about 750,000 in the UK, and a lot of those aren't 'active' i.e. set up a Blog and then it lies dormant.

Have seen some interesting stuff in the last day regarding the way in which blogs have become the 'new media' especially with things like the London Blasts - often 'news' was breaking first on blogspots etc way before the usual channels (BBC/ SkY etc).

Or, recommend any interesting blogs?

I think I need one....

Dh has a couple of blogs. One which he seems to be prattling away on all the time, and one on which he posts transcripts of his sermons.

www.blogger.com
www.dairy-x.com
www.livejournal.com

those are good sites for getting your own blog/journal imo.

i have a livejournal, but it's locked so only really close friends and my dh can read it.

swiperfox, that's exactly why i write in one now. i put up loads of pictures and anecdotes of dd's adventures. i used to write during my depression and it helped a lot to get my thoughts out. and i got enormous support from my online friends through it.

is livejournal easy to use and navigate? I just want somewhere that we can put all our personal stuff in, mark down milestones for the little ones and stick a load of pics. It's more for us than anything!!

I used to have a diary-x and I got loads of comments etc, and had loads of fun learning HTML and designing it (how sad am I!) but after a bit I ran out of interesting things to say and I discovered I didn't have the time so I shut it down...

I mean having friends on/from MN is a little strange but when they've just floated in from anywhere on the net it's weird!
