How cool is it to meet families from other countries!?

I know, what a boring thread, but today after nursery I was stood outside with 3 Mums chatting - one from Mexico, one from Australia and one from America (California). Just got thinking how great it is I, and the kids of course, get to meet people from interesting places that we get to learn all about!

Not that local friends aren't interesting of course!

Actually I bet someone will come on and point out that they aren't that different as they are all fairly 'westernised' countries - but anyway, they are still different and I'm finding it interesting these people anyway!

Hmm, I bet you're all thinking '4'

no - I love meeting people from other countries. Most local people are from other countries anyway, where I live!

i think i am the only foreign mum at dd's nursery :/
strange though, because none of the mums knew until i told them, they didn't even pick up an accent!

I love it too (especialy with having a foreign DH)

DS1 is doing quite well really - his best friend's dad is from Senegal, another friend down the road has a Canadian Mother, another friend of mine who has a little boy as well is from Switzerland, our old next door neighbours who we still see regularly are from Mauritius, the people that own our local shop are Zimbabweans, another friend's mum at nursery is from Matla
