my SIL used to do that with the Welcome Trust - she was the one who dealt with all the grant applications - but that was a long time ago - so no real help - sorry !

what do you need them for ? Maybe you could contact the Welcome Trust direct and ask if they have anyone who can help you ?

I don't think there's any chance of Wellcome helping anyone other than giving specific guidance on applications to them to be honest. I do quite a lot, but not for your sort of thing unfortunately beety.

your cuncil should have a council for voluntary service or CVS or otherwise known as the volunteer shop. please look them up. they are a wealth of advice and can point you in the right direction.

it depends on the amount your after and what you want it for.
professionals may charge 15 - 20% fees on top

i used to do it - my husband does still. feel free to cat with more details

I've got a pretty good record on grant applications (over half a million £ now), but arts, museums, heritage is what I know. How much do you want and for what?

Beety - my mum works for a rural community council (not near you though) who often help local groups to get matched funding from Europe and local and national government, for community projects. Cash funding from these sources can be matched against industry funding or funding in kind - eg voluntary work. Her RCC runs a seperate dept. hiring out their expertise commercially - it mught be worth contacting your local RCC to see if they do something similar

Are they arts / cultural and creative industries grants? if so I can give you a list - e mail me....
