tradesman purveying is clumsy too if I may make so bold as to comment. Surely you had it in mind to say "purveyor of...."

On second thoughts, that sounds like it should be followed by something dirty!

It's a fabulous scene, isn't it?
I actually always cry at the scene just before when Higgins tells him she's leaving, and his face contorts as he struggles to contain his emotions, and the knuckles of his clenched fist whiten.

My db has just bought a house in Keighley, so I want to go and visit the working mill. That's if I can drag dss and dh away from the steam trains ...
