(General) Project Management?

I work for a local authority which is undergoing a very rapid change programme. There is an opportunity for me to apply for a six-month secondment as a project manager. I would be working under the supervision of someone from a large firm of consultants, so hopefully would receive good on-the-job training.

If I did this, I would want to use the experience to look for more flexible work with an agency, as I want to reduce my work to about 3 days a week. I was wondering whether any existing project managers work in this way and how easy it is to get this sort of work?

Not sure but you might want to try and get a qualification - PRICE is one some LA's use

Good Project Managers can do very well
