get some frozen peas out and put them on, jb, if ds won't let you go away!

It will probably blister.

It will blister badly and maybe scar.

Can you stand holding him and run it under the kitchen tap?

Or let him cry a bit while you sort yourself out - your need is greater than his!

Poor you! Hope it's better soon.

peas in packet btw, not loose, or they'll fall on the floor.

(Sorry, not being sarky!)

Don't know how old DS is - but he CAN wait - get your hand under the running water (cold) for 10 minutes.

jinglybits · 04/06/2005 23:50

oh no! there is no ice or anything, ate up all contents of the freezer before defrost so not a single frozen pea in the house! oh woe is me...ouch!

JB, definitely leave him to cry a bit - can you put a lullaby light on or something for him? What does he like best? Let him do that while you sort your hand out! Unless it's being carried round...! Then he can do his second favourite thing!

Nine minutes - if it throbs again in the night, do it again. Burns and scalds are horrible things.

Am I going to see the word twatshank mistakenly featuring in any of your work?

That refers to another thread BTW. I'm not being rude. Quite inappropriate language for a first aid thread

No, B99, you won't. I am a pro-fess-ion-al. Honest, guv

at least you didn't burn your fingertips because they had become stuck fast to the inside of a freezer! That happened to a friend of mine, no-one around to pour boiling water to detach them, she had to pull them off herself, hurts like hell apparently....
