eeek! (girly scream) There's a mouse behind the sink!

I knew something was up as when I got home there were splashes of blood near the back door (and cat flap). Immediately started looking for a mouse or bird (our cat is a killer) but had to give up. Just found live (but injured and bleeding) mouse behind the potty in the downstairs loo. Dh (who is at work) instructed me to put a box over it but in moving potty it has ran into a hole in the brickwork which supports the sink. Am now worried it is going to die there. Or worse crawl under the shower where I'll never get it out.
more eeeks!

Unfortunately we can't dismantle it (without using a sledge hammer!).
Think I will have to let cat back in although I had been hoping to catch mouse myself and set free (you can tell I was brought up a townie can't you!)

dh is home now - he's just asked for the kitchen tongs... I think he's trying to pull it out by the tail. Yuck, yuck - I use them to cook with almost everyday!

Dh got mouse and set out in front garden where cat doesn't go. Feel maybe we should just have let cat put it out of it's misery...
Dh now being a pain in backside as he insists tongs didn't touch tail and that I don't need new ones. Yeah, right.
