If a coffee shop were to sell biscuits/cakes or suchlike for £1 each, how much would they expect to buy them in for?

I'm plucking up the courage to see if the local independent deli/coffee shop would like to sell some of my home baking. I've worked out how much the ingredients would cost, but not sure how much they would expect to pay, and therefore whether it'd be worth my time.

Any ideas?

Do you not need to have health & safety certs for your kithchen these days, if you want to properly 'sell' food produce?

oh that's a point. You probably do. Oh well, it was my friend's idea and I was a bit nervous about approaching them anyway.

Give them a ring and ask - I find a lot of things easier on the phone!

I'm sure that woman on Mistresses didn't have a health & safety certificate

Seriously though, you should give them a call/go see them. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
