<<<<<hugs>>>> You must be so worried. Unfortunately at 17 they can do as they wish sad
My dd ran away at 14 and I could do nothing to bring her back.
Hopefully she will be back soon.

Hope she gets in touch soon,

bobs Sun 30-Aug-09 13:05:48

I'm sorry for yr worries. Poss she is not answering phone as was up all night and is sleeping in?? My DD is nearlt 16 and I ask that she always tells me where she is going and if she changes her plans to let me know. With teenagers I've learnt you have to be 1 step ahead of the game - the number of times I've been caught out!!shock
Let us know when she turns up - sure she will soon...

shhhh Sun 30-Aug-09 13:15:28

Keeping my fingers crossed for you ilove x

shhhh Sun 30-Aug-09 18:31:36

have you tried to contact any more of her friends..?
Are the police doing anything to help.? given a timescale before they will help or nothing at all..? Can't imagine the worry..sad

I hope she's home soon and safe and sound.
Seventeen is the age you can legally leave home without parental permission, which is why the police are not acting.

God, teenage girls are a nightmare aren't they? i remember how horrible I was.

ilovesprouts Sun 30-Aug-09 20:11:28

thanks cc xx

nigglewiggle Sun 30-Aug-09 20:42:07

Is there anything that would make her more vulnerable than the average 17 year old, like an illness for example? What is this girl she is with known for? These two things could make the police more likely to take action.

shhhh Sun 30-Aug-09 20:47:23

is there anyone who can try and call her...? I asume she is ignoring you and knows the calls when it comes through..maybe someone else calling on a different number may catch her unawares..?

Worth a try...

Teenagers are such a 10 (ish) years off till I experience the sulk and im so not looking forward to it.sad.

TBH,My sister was a nightmare for my mum and moved out to go to uni at 18 YET me on the otherhand..never a problem, left home to move in with (now) dh at 20 and my mother would defo have me back a flash grin.

Keep positive and keep in touch with us x

ilovesprouts Sun 30-Aug-09 20:49:38

no shes not got any illness /or medication etc ,she street wise ,but the girl shes whith can twist her round her finger ,shes well known to the police in halifax [not dd] the girl hangs around we druggies smokes stuff etc gets drunk ,and when she gets nasty she threatends ppl whith knifes and my dd says its not her fault its her upbringing etc as she was in care from young age

ilovesprouts Sun 30-Aug-09 20:52:45

all my best mates who knows her have called her all day but they get the same as me !! i dont know what the salford area is like ,been told its not nice ,but hey i dont know

shhhh Sun 30-Aug-09 21:00:01

Im about 30/45 mins from salford..its not the best iykwim...(don't want to offend anyoneblush)

Hopefully she is safe, asleep and will wake up full of remorse..

FabBakerGirlIsBack Sun 30-Aug-09 21:29:02

You need to tell your dd that someone'e upbringing is not an excuse for violent/threatening behaviour and that she has to accept it is wrong.

How long has it been since anyone heard from her?

ilovesprouts Sun 30-Aug-09 21:37:53

ive not spoke to her since fri pm !

FabBakerGirlIsBack Sun 30-Aug-09 21:40:13

Has anyone else since then?

ilovesprouts Sun 30-Aug-09 21:56:47 one can get hold of her
