Where to move to in South London

Hi, I've been lurking for months and this is my first post!

We're living in Ireland at the moment but moving to Sth London in June/July. Dh will be working near Chertsey. Problem is we have no real idea of where to move to! We have friends near Twickenham but I'm worried that the commute from there will be so long that dh will not get to spend enough time with ds (9 months) which we'll all hate!

So basically need advice on commuting or areas inside the M25 that might be good..Weybridge? Addlestone? We've got a car but would like to be near decent public transport too.

Any advice gratefully received.

agree with noddy. We're in Raynes Park and it has everything you want and decent sized affordable houses.

Thanks for those quick replies, and jangus, that was a lovely thing to do!

Should have clarified...we'll be renting and will be staying for anything from 6 months to 2 years, so schools won't be an issue. Just want somewhere nice and family friendly with parks, playgrounds, mother's groups and grocery delivery!!!!!
