Are you a Tigger or an Eeyore?

Yes yes I have probably spelt Eeyore wrong.

Julie Burchill (fabbo) did a column eons ago about this and I remembered today that I wanted to ask you lot.

Tigger - bouncy, happy, positive, look on the bright side etc etc
Eeyore - sad, negative, down, glass half empty etc

Generalisations of course but I think there is something in it. Most of my friends fall into one catagory or another.

I would class myself as a Tigger as I can be annoyingly upbeat about any disaster whereas dh is undoubtedly an Eeyore, or Victor Meldrew in disguise.

I am a tigger too much to my dh's annoyance........

Hermione1 Wed 25-May-05 13:25:25

eeyore definately at the present time.

dinosaur Wed 25-May-05 13:25:59

I am a Tigger whereas DH is definitely an Eeyore.

oooooh a response, thought I had bored everyone to death.

Yes most of my female friends are Tiggers and their dh's are Eeyores, JB said this in her article as well.

What annoys your dh?

Well Eyeore is my favourite, but I think I must be some kind of interbred!

Gobbledigook Wed 25-May-05 13:31:31

Generally Tigger. Moments of Eeyore (say pre-menstrually for example!)

flashingnose Wed 25-May-05 13:31:31

Another eeyore DH here. What annoys him? Where shall I start....

Enid Wed 25-May-05 13:31:55

I am an Owl

LIZS Wed 25-May-05 13:32:34

very eeyore !

Prettybird Wed 25-May-05 13:32:55

Don't you mean Wol?

Chandra Wed 25-May-05 13:33:03

Owl as well, always wanting a bit of peace and a little more sleep...

Lonelymum Wed 25-May-05 13:33:27

I think I am a cross between Eeyore and Rabbit with a tiny bit of Kanga, Tigger and Owl thrown in.

elibelly Wed 25-May-05 13:33:37

I'm definitely Rabbit, very crotchety and hate anyone trespassing on my garden, and I always think I'm right

fastasleep Wed 25-May-05 13:33:55

I'm a tiggore....definately.

Twiglett Wed 25-May-05 13:35:01

Julie Burchill (plagiarist) probably read 'the tao of pooh' before writing that column

huggybear Wed 25-May-05 13:35:07

im a tigger but dh is an eeyore....

he gets stress easily whereas i tend to be more laid back

Twiglett Wed 25-May-05 13:35:39

actually I take back the plagiarist comment - that was slanderous and I didn't mean it, sorry (but don't like jb's articles that much)

PiccadillyCircus Wed 25-May-05 13:35:46

I am an Eeyore.

DH is a Tigger.

PiccadillyCircus Wed 25-May-05 13:36:59

I think that makes both DH and me unusual .

oliveoil Wed 25-May-05 13:39:21

Oi. Stay off JB, I think she if fab .

And this is myyyyyyyyy thread <<jutting bottom lip>>.

oliveoil Wed 25-May-05 13:40:44

What are the characteristics of the others then?

Rabbit - ?
Pooh - Dim?
Owl - ?
Errrr, I should know them all as I read it most nights grrrr.

KBear Wed 25-May-05 13:41:36

boiiiiing - I'm a Tigger kind of bear
DH is Eeyore without question.

Can you imagine a marriage of two Tiggers or two Eeyores - surely wouldn't work!

sharklet Wed 25-May-05 13:42:27

I'm definately and my DH is a mix between tigger and eyeore - he's a very stubborn eyeore when he's in the dumps!
