Honestly, I know you can apprently fix it so that your computer won't let you on it, but how ???

I am on firefox by the way if that makes any difference.

Branster Fri 20-May-05 21:53:09

well, if you know how to make mn a restricted site, then you'll know how to un do it, won't you??? maybe from Internet Options somewhere? you just type in the website address? Not quite sure?
Why do you want to do it?

Easiest would be to remove modem cable, cut to pieces and bin it!!!

JoolsToo Fri 20-May-05 21:53:26

forget it!

Good point Branster, may have to get my brother to do it and not tell me how.

Can't possibly get rid of internet altogether though, that would be a step much too far i think

tiredemma Fri 20-May-05 21:57:03

dont be daft, why on earth would you want to do that???? crazy woman.

nutcracker Fri 20-May-05 21:57:12

Think i need a big down time though.

jangly Fri 20-May-05 21:57:24

You could have a password put on your computer that cuts in when you shut it down, so you can't go on again until the person types the password in. But this means you don't have access to rest of computer. You would have to get your dp to put the password on.

Good god no, could never let him read my posts.

I just think i need a mega break from here, it is stresing me out alot at the mo.

tiredemma Fri 20-May-05 21:59:46

jangly Fri 20-May-05 22:00:44

He wouldn't have to go onto Mumsnet to do it. You can block Mumsnet but, as someone said, if you know how to block it you would know how to unblock it.

nutcracker Fri 20-May-05 22:00:49

PMSL @ the power of it.

Erm not really sure but both i spose.

nutcracker Fri 20-May-05 22:01:44

Can MN block me ??

nutcracker Fri 20-May-05 22:03:12

By the way when i say the people I don't mean any of you obviously

jangly Fri 20-May-05 22:03:53

They could block you from posting, but not from reading it.

nutcracker Fri 20-May-05 22:04:31

Oh no that wouldn't work then because i'd soon be asking them to unblock me if i could read what was going on.

tiredemma Fri 20-May-05 22:04:35

nutty, i once tried to ban myself- via telewest - from being able to phone mobile phones. It didnt work- as i was the bill payer, i was the one with the passcode to call mobiles.
