I don't use ebay. I'm too much of an instant gratification person to bother with it, and I'm too lazy to sell stuff on it. When I want to sell something I take it to Cash Converters and walk out w/the money.

I bought a fab climbing frame with house on side for ds on ebay. Cost me £30 and it was brand new in box. Fab quality and Sooooooo much cheaper than shops. Dh had to pick it up so would prob add £10 onto cost for petrol but well worth it.

Old "free upgrade" mobile phones sell well. I get a new phone every year on contract and sell my old one on ebay (without SIM card in). The least I've had is £40, the most was £65.

Sold a played with Playmobil castle for more than we paid (and more than you could buy it for brand new). Sold a knackered old microscope they were chucking out at dh's work for £80. In fact, we've sold more than we've bought and have done pretty well overall.

Bought a Miniman jacket for ds1 for £8 but he won't wear it 'cos it says "MINIMAN" on the back and he feels silly in it. Does he not know it's designer ?

I sold a fife (sort of like a recorder, but played like a flute) on ebay for £20, when I had only paid £10 for it a few years earlier, so I bought some more, and carried on selling them for quite a while. I actually sold one for £46 and a second chance for £35. I actually felt really bad about that, but they seemed happy enough! Unfortunatley eventually soem ppl cottoned on and I got undercut by the music retailers, but I had made £200 profit in total.

starshaker - we sold something like that once, a dodgy camera. it must have had a knock in the post, cos the custoer said it was fine. Very annoying being on the other side of it!

I found some new fabric remnants from Designers Guild and Cath Kidston at a bootsale they were 50p for each remnant and were just enough to make a cushion. Bought loads and sold three lots (£1.50's worth) for £51.00.
