Confused about shoes - need some advice!

DD (4) is now a size 10.5 shoe, took her to a couple of shoe shops that stock clarks and was told when they get to size 10 the only shoes available (in clarks) are black!!
..so, that's ok for when she starts school.

Where does everyone get shoes for kids once they have grown out of clarks/start rite stage? This is a new one on me!

HI Stuffedcat, I'm really not sure that you've been given correct advice here! Why not check out the Clarks website? - they list all the styles and the sizes they come in.

Next shoes are quite good - they don't come in half sizes though (you can buy online and return for free)

I suspect they have a rather limited range at this time of year and that size is just beyond tyhe cut off for "preschool " ranges but it is perfectly possible to get other colours. Also worth looking for a small independent shoe store locally, TK maxx or John Lewis, continental brands don't do much black as European schools are usually non uniform - try Ricosta, Primigi, Naturino etc.

Clarks have got a good website now. LIZS has some good ideas I think. I get startrite Louisa shoes in red for my dd as her uniform is red and green so she can wear them out of school too. She is a size 13. Startrite have loads of none black shoes but the shops hardly stock any so you pretty much have to order them from the website.
