Going sick at work

Hi, in the past I've tried to swap shifts and no one will ever swap.
This time, it's really important I have a night off as it's my daughters first Stagecoach play the next day. I'm not sure what excuse I can give.
I'm not very good at this really so could do with some help. It has to be believable, I'm not sure if there's anything going round at the moment?
