Spoke to my best mate today about our problems with our neighbours and she told me that some 14 year old kids tha have been making her mum's life hell, had set alight to the garage next door and it exploded and set fire to her garden and killed 6 of her rabbits
What is this world coming too???

there is a realgang mentality out there at the moment.I know of a friend who was mugged by a bunch of 12/13 year old girls!!! It was vicious .

I was talking to an 11yr old boy in a kids home the other week and he came out with a cracking line.

"I bet I've had more bongs than you've had school dinners"

I hear about this everytime I go to work. There's kids of 12/13 with criminal records as long as your arm.

Last year I taught a boy who told me, and was quite serious, that his father would freeze live frogs in liquid nitrogen (at work) and then throw them on the floor to watch them shatter.

The world has always been like this.

In the bible there are kids tying rope around dogs legs so they can't run.

I know someone who microwaved a hamster (as a child) it still torments them now. it isn't me by the way.

There have always been children who's behaviour is awful, but there are more now than when I was in school in the 70s.

Rude, disrespectful, violent and foul mouthed kids are becomeing far more common than when I was a kid. And often when you tell the parents of the worst offenders you get a mouthful of the same abuse and threats of violence

Personally (and you may shoot me down in flames here) I think matters got alot worse in the 80s. This was the era of no communities "only individuals". It was also the decade where everyone became aware of their rights. What nobody pointed out was that with rights there are also responsibilities. As you sow - so you shall reap. I know it's not everyone but there are some out there who don't give a sod about anyone else as long as they are alright - sadly that indifference to other people includes their children who are out and setting light to cars, vandalising buildings and terrorising the local communities.

We all seem positively Angelic compaired to todays Youth, and I feel compelled to go on about the Youth of Today, myself, but now it is all so horrible.

Gross oversimplification. My mother was raised by just her mum and my dh had no contact withhis father from the age of 13. Two more honest, honerable decent people you could not wish to meet.

Same is true ofmany, many other single parent families.

Probelms are caused by idiot parents single or otherwise who cannot be arsed to dicepilin their children. Being married doesn't stop some people from having the parenting skills of a slug.

well said hmb but i also know a few very dedicated parents whose kids are out of control and tell their mum that theyll call police on her if she tries to discipline them cos ``weve got rights`` they say !!

my friend is so angry, she went with her mum to the council and demended she was moved ASAP. If the tree had fallen in the explosion it would have fallen on the house and could have killed someone. She is very p*ssed off..... the police hadn't been round when I spoke to her. BF mum will so upset to leave that house as her son's ashes are scattered in the garden

god after reading this i have decided that my dd(14 in july) is fantastic! she doesnt go out apart from on weekends and has to be in at 6.30 and never, ever questions that, i was rowing with her today and telling her shewas a sod etc, but now i feel guilty, im going in her room to give her a big cuddle.

i have an absent dad and absent step dad so
