that's a european Kilo. it's a bit smaller than the more superior large british Kilo. YOu've been diddled out of about 8g of sugar.

How on earth can a European kilo be smaller than a British one? Surely a kilo is a kilo?

Nope is foreign conspiracy.

You know those lightweight wine bottles? Because the glass is thinner is there more area inside the bottle for abit more wine?

It's the average weight mark.

It means no more than 1 in 40 packages can be below the nominal weight, and the small e is a pan-European 'guarantee' of packing to this standard.
