I think JulieF is a netmums lady, she might be able to help.

Haven't seen her today, might it be worth putting netmums in the title of the post and seeing if that gets any response?

Bit wobbly today, but just trying to muddle through. GP wants to change the meds but I have to have the go-ahead of a psychiatrist and an ECG first so I'm stuck at the moment, which doesn't help!

so when can you see the psychiatrist? and have the ECG(and why do you need one?)
Pain having to wait, when they're not working for you??

Apparently there has been some fuss recently concerning the ad that my GP wants to prescribe, and it's now only allowed to be prescribed with the agreement of a psychiatrist, and they ask for an ECG because there are certain heart conditions which this drug can't be used with. So I have to wait for the referral to the shrink, then they will have to refer me for the ECG, then I might get to change the meds.

I'm on 40mg Citalopram, which helped a bit to start with, but I'm as bad now as I was before I started on them.

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling so good, it's so hard to deal with, isn't it.

This is apparently something that the GP has used very successfully in other patients before, which is why he is keen to use it with me, but these new rules have been imposed which mean we all have to jump through hoops.

Night, hun, thanks for asking, and hope you feel better tomorrow too xxx
