I think JulieF is a netmums lady, she might be able to help.

is she around tonight??

WigWamBam Thu 05-May-05 22:19:42

Haven't seen her today, might it be worth putting netmums in the title of the post and seeing if that gets any response?

Evesmama Thu 05-May-05 22:30:58

thanks hun
how are you today??

WigWamBam Thu 05-May-05 22:33:22

Bit wobbly today, but just trying to muddle through. GP wants to change the meds but I have to have the go-ahead of a psychiatrist and an ECG first so I'm stuck at the moment, which doesn't help!

WigWamBam Thu 05-May-05 22:33:46

Ooops, missed the last line off somehow - how are you?

Evesmama Thu 05-May-05 22:38:04

so when can you see the psychiatrist? and have the ECG(and why do you need one?)
Pain having to wait, when they're not working for you??
what are you on?
im on sertraline and just had my dose doubled again, but apart from couple of really high days last week, am very snappy and sad?..maybe cos almost TOTM??dont know

Apparently there has been some fuss recently concerning the ad that my GP wants to prescribe, and it's now only allowed to be prescribed with the agreement of a psychiatrist, and they ask for an ECG because there are certain heart conditions which this drug can't be used with. So I have to wait for the referral to the shrink, then they will have to refer me for the ECG, then I might get to change the meds.

I'm on 40mg Citalopram, which helped a bit to start with, but I'm as bad now as I was before I started on them.

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling so good, it's so hard to deal with, isn't it.

cant he prescribe another ad??
one of the same 'family' as it were?
even just until your appointment?
i really feel for you, as ive been passed from pillar to post with mine, this must be the fourth or fifth lot ive been given and theyre still not making me 'me' again.

hope you have a better day tomorrow

will check in with you once ive been to town for dd's feet measured .

WigWamBam Thu 05-May-05 22:47:01

This is apparently something that the GP has used very successfully in other patients before, which is why he is keen to use it with me, but these new rules have been imposed which mean we all have to jump through hoops.

Night, hun, thanks for asking, and hope you feel better tomorrow too xxx

Evesmama Thu 05-May-05 22:49:48

have you tried anything herbal before??maybe a 'buffer' while you're waiting? as it doesnt seem right to make you wait

anyway, must go as dd has been a terror today and am expecting one of those nights!!!

take care and sleep tight
