At a lunch party over the weekend and ds was asked if he had a girlfriend. When he replied, "Yes," he was asked, "Is she very beautiful?". He replied, "She's like blossom falling from the trees." Everyone was gobsmacked - how could a five year old be so sweet, so profound? Then, before anyone could say anything, ds picked up a stick and added, "I'm going to take this stick, I'm going to sharpen it and I'm going to stab an animal with it." I know he's a bit obsessed about cavemen at the moment, but talk about Jekyll and Hyde.

I think his most surreal comment was - after being told that I use face cream because I'm getting old and wrinkly - "You're not old, you just have seagulls on the brain."

So now you know, they're not wrinkles on my forehead...

(what none of you know is that Willow2 does in fact have a big flock of seagulls attached to her forehead )

But he was right... picture a line drawing of seagulls - a bit like a flattened m - that's what's on there.
