If you were free all day what would you do?

So now I have finished my degree I have some free time, first time in ages and ages.

I'll be working 4 days a week so most weeks I will have 3 weekdays off. However most of m friends are still doing their degrees so I am a bit stuck...

I spent today watching TV and am slowly cleaning filfthy house but I probably have about 3 weeks of bumming round on my own.

So what would you do if you had NOTHING else to do. I don't bring work home from work so basically all I have to do is my 32hrs there...

I don't have tons of money and I don't have a car but other than that.

Ideas?

I'd go to the cinema, lots have cheap daytime tickets
loll around reading books I haven't had time to read
See friends I wanted to catch up with
Browse bookshops
Wander round museums/art galleries
Walk on the beach/in the woods
Guiltily watch old stuff like LA Law on cable in the daytime
Lie in
Have sex in the middle of the day (don't know if this is feasible for you!) and then sleep
and that's just for starters, can you tell I'd love some time to myself? Lucky you!

All of WWW's list plus sort out my wardrobe - get rid of stuff, iron stuff, shave legs, sort out scruffy feet, go and look at 'sights', like new buildings I haven't yet visited, write letters to all the people I wish I wrote to more - friends abroad etc - and if I got really stuck - which is unlikely, I might get ahead of myself and do Xmas cards! oh, sort out my address book - put in updates off the hundreds of scraps of paper, delete defunct addresses etc. And stock the freezer with cheap nutricious homemade dishes and go to the gym a lot or walks for exercise.

i would definitely exercise more, sleep more, do more crafts, and visit places that aren't kid-friendly - like going to the cinema and watching obscure art films the way i did before DD came along. i'd spend long hours in cafes with good books and friends. lots of time browing/shopping - not rush jobs darting in and out before DD gets bored, or during lunch hour b/c it's the only free time.

I already go to the gym everyday so thats sorted but I count that as part of my normal routine kwim? No idea why I bother because I think my chocolate habit ruins it all

I don't have any old friends to catch up with because I am away from home and everyone is really working hard for exams etc. I go out in the evenings though

Currently on my list is -
Go to Meadowhall for the day
Get a Pedicure but I'll probably have to do that after work
Read rubbishy books
Go to a museum in Hull that I have not been to

Ummmm. I think I am not making the most of my youth. Poss could spend time finding someone to have sex with during the day

me and dh had a free day yesterday. we booked a day's leave, kids were with nanny/childminder as normal. we got up, pretended to go to work, then....had breakfast in the market square, walked for about two hours along the river, had lunch in a nice restaurant, then went to the cinema. it was TOP. Probably not what I'd do on my own, but this thread seemed like nearly a good enough excuse to share it.

hatoff ...
DH and I had a day like that just before we moved to NZ ... we dropped DS off at nursery then went to London on the train and had the most lovely romantic day ever! We never get the chance to do that anymore ... sigh ...
Anyway, if I was free all day, what would I do?
Wake up when I had had enough sleep ...
Have a leisurely breakfast in bed ...
Go back to sleep.
Have a shower at some point, when I felt like it.
Have lunch out somewhere
Read the paper
Have a nap
Read a book for as long as I wanted with no one interrupting me.
Have another nap
And another
And maybe one more.
Go out somewhere for the evenining, dinner, maybe pictures .... no need to rush home for a baby sitter or anything ...
Sleep all night with no interruptions ...

at the moment I can only think of spending one free day listening to the new Foo Fighters double album, lying near the beach and looking at pictures of Johnny Depp
All day
