Kitchens, we are fitting ourselves and stuck on how to fit the plinth?

The floor is uneven, the cupboards are there and levelled and the plinth needs cutting to size along its length - how do we do this for a tidy fit all the way along? Any tips please, desperate to get this project finished and have a decent meal.
