Dh is off to Denver, Colorado next month for job interviews (we are planning to move there soon hopefully!) He is going away for a week.
I am sat here tonight while he is out, dds are in bed and am seriously thinking I'm gonna get the girls over for a Saturday night, chat, wine, nibbles and music.
Not sure if I can get the dds looked after yet.
What do you reckon? Would you do it?

No Merlin. Colorado is America. I know what you mean about the wine - I'm feeling the same
Of course you can come to the girlie night. Got to sort it out yet - only thought about it tonight.

Cos my girlie friends and I all feel totally overdressed (don't wear belts for skirts and bras for tops) when we go out and feel 20 years older then everyone else in the bars, we usually have girls nights in and they are great.
We stick a pizza or something in the oven, all bring some wine, chat about men, sex etc have a great laugh and put the world right.
We do this about every 6 weeks and we really enjoy it, in fact they are coming to mine on thursday night cos my dh is away all week.
Go for it sparkler, you'll have a great time and as you say, no baby sitter needed.

Do you know what? I am definitely going to do it. And Feelingold pizza will definitely be on the menu.

Go for it, we find that when we go out, we don't actually get chance to talk to each other properly cos some places are too crowded or noisy so we now prefer our girls nights in.
We have even been known to have pampering evenings with face packs and manicures etc.

Anyone else have any ideas of things to do on a girls' night in?

You could play drinking games, truth or dare, silly board games like Twister!! Or you could put on a chick flick. Have fun

Dirty Dancing on video followed by the Princess Bride followed by Grease. Lots of very loud singing, pizza, wine and Clive Owen wrapped in a scarlet satin bow.

Ooh sorry.... thought you were Turquoise for a moment there lol

You need a good party CD, you know Old Skool or 80s hits and a good boogie
