Yorkshire Pudding tins.

I do as I can't bear the thought of having bits of week old yorkshires stuck to the fresh ones.

My MIL says that she has NEVER washed her yorkshire pudding tins, hence, i don't have them any more.

Maybe she just wipes them out with kitchen roll and that would keep it oiled without the puddings sticking each week. I am sure she would take off the old bits of Yorkshire pud before putting in the new mixture!!

Still makes my stomach turn thinking about it, eugh, LOL. Mine go in the dishwasher after every use

I love aunt bessies too, but for the time it takes for me to make them and what they turn out like (about 6" high) I prefer to have home made. Saying that, I have been known to go a while without making them.

I wash the tin foil cases mine come in for the little boy next door to take to nursery

My MIL never washes her tins though, when DH and I were there, we were helping clear up and he went to wash the yp tin and she went ballistic - it was really scary to see her so passionate about a bloody yorkshire pudding tin

We still use yp tin as shorthand for someone who is overreacting

It might be one of those things that you are not 'supposed' to wash. Omlette pans are another, as are 'real' woks.

The high temperatures used will make sure that all bacteria are killed off, and a wipe with a kitchen towel is all that is needed. Washing them can make them stick.

I agree. Our pancake pan has never been washed, it would lose its coating and the pancakes would stick!

and champagne glasses. Just rinse them out. But once they've been washed once, you might as well wash them.

My champers glasses were 10p each from Ikea and get lobbed in the dishwasher!

My omlette pan gets softer treatment!

My MIL doesn't wash her tins although the rest of her hygine practices worry me the tins all reach a high temp so it kills the germs. However I try not to eat there when I am pg!!

they are better for not washinh - just wipe themout with kitchen paper.
