I have just come downstairs and they have forced their way into my kitchen, which has a small lock at the top to keep them out, and then gone to the cupboard under the sink (which has a children lock on it!!!!!) and sprayed out all my chemicals!!! all over the kitchen floor and stainless steel cooker............. Luckily they didn't spray any in each other's eyes..... DD2's skin has now got really bad (exzema) so I creamed her up and told them off........ AAARRGGHHH!!!! I want to know how they are getting past two stairgates, a high lock and a child lock!!!??? BAck to the child safety drawing board I guess!!!!

...just be glad they show a "sprited sense of adventure " :0. When they're sailing single handed around the world, you'll remember the time that they showed their ability to overcome all obstacles put in their way !!!!! In the meantime, good luck with the clean up !!

Oh dear - Mini Houndinis !!
Glad there are OK though - could have been nasty.
Me thinks you need padlocks & chains (and for the cupboards as well !)

we use cupboard locks but just to be sure we have rearranged the cupboards so that all cleaning stuff is in in a high cupboard.

I don't know how old they are but I would explain to them why its dangerous to play with things like that also. Agree - high cupboards also a good idea - just in case.

hope you are over the shock sparklymieow. I'm convinced that child locks are there to keep us adults out. [wry smile]

yes we had a lovely day after a terrible start. They have played in the garden, help me plant some flowers (that was fun ) and had a nice day in general no naughtiness, no fighting and they all went to bed and sleep no problem

oh god - its kind of funny though - but oh god

what on earth are you going to do now

I remember my DH telling me abou twhen him and his brothers were little. Their parents kept the biscuits locked in a cupboard on the kitchen wall. Toys got piled up when they noticed their dad asleep on the chair. DH was sent up to the top of the pile with a butter knife to jemi (sp?) the lock. He managed it (aged 3) got the biscuits and started cheering, only to find his mother behind him, his brothers sitting angelically playing on the floor. Sore bottom and no biscuits for him that week.
