A very good friend of mine is a Wedding Planner. It sounds like she does a brilliant job. I was curious if any of you used one when you got married or if you would when (if) you get married and what your thoughts on this are ...

I too would love to do it as a job, (although coping with Bride-zillas could be trying) but I can't say I would use one. I am much to controlling to let someone else organise something as big as a wedding for me.
I acn totally see how it takes away the major stresses and strains though, eltting someone else be responsible for all the faffy, crappy bits as well as the bigger, more important parts.

Bridezillas was just whatcame to mind with me too! I know that programme was set in new york but really, the wedding planners were expected to not have any lives of their own so that they could pander to the brides' every little whim. I really wouldn't have the patience. When ever I hear about the 'traumas' brides go through on the lead up to their special day i just want to shake them and say 'FFS! it really DOES NOT MATTER what colour the napkins are in relation to the freakin place-settings!'

having said that, maybe 'normal' brides would be a bit more polite and reasonable?!

do i get the job?
