At least you kept it together for your DS. I probably would have been screaming hysterically.

I did first aid training a few years ago and from what I remember, you are meant to deal with the silent casualties first to assess whats wrong with them. I can understand the natural instinct to calm down the screaming lady first though.

How awful it must have been for all of you.

ks your dh helped and you had children in the car. You didn't run away and leave anyone so please don't beat yourself up. Who knows what any of us would do in that situation.
