Agree re the skoda irishbird! We have a felicia estate and the after sales service was second to none! Could do with a 7-seater now though! Pity Skoda don't make one - we've had no bother with ours and would buy another one tomorrow (if it had 7 seats!)

yes it is the financial side of it, i never thought of Skoda one. ive put a bid in for the Audi on ebay

anymore advice anyone

Personally I'd go for the Audi, a) it's newer, b) they are fantastically well built & safe c) they're very relaible and will happily clock up 250,000 miles without breaking a sweat d) the interiors on Audi's are generally quite attractive with all the toys.

On the downside, the 2.6 will be expensive to insure and run, it will be very thirsty.

biglips if my husband were here he'd say the audi - spare parts are not a problem and you dont have to buy audi branded items.

i looovvvveeee my audi estate - a humdinger!

NomDePlume Fri 25-Mar-05 19:50:56

the other downside is that Audi servicing etc is expensive, but i guess if you're buying an 11 year old car, you probably won't be bothering with dealer network servicing and will prob be using a small local garage which will be cheaper.

yes its an L reg audi and ive checked my insurance and its only a £100 more up to August 05 and its will go down after august 05 as ive got protected NCD

biglips Fri 25-Mar-05 20:00:19

and its £100 more for three of us (me the main driver and 2 named drivers), ive got an escort at the moment that im trying to sell

NomDePlume Fri 25-Mar-05 20:00:37

In that case, if you can happily cope with the thirst of your car (mpg will be pretty naff if it's a 2.6 petrol), then I would sooooooo go for the Audi. Without a shadow.

ive won the Audi on ebay

NomDePlume Sat 26-Mar-05 12:29:47

WOW !!! Congrats, let us know how it drives etc. Make sure you give it a thorough look over when you collect it. Remember you can still pull out of the sale if the car does not match the description satisfactorily.
