Thanks for this MrsBigD, much appreciated.

Does anyone else know any? It's for a wedding with a not very extravagant budget.... (that'll be mine then)

Try squaremeal.co.uk as they have the ability to search for places with function rooms which are nice and unusual

Try toptable.co.uk and search for those restauants which have private dining rooms.

Thanks DD! I wouldn't bother with the best man though tbh! Unless you are into pot bellies...?

Or Confetti.co.uk has a location finder I think???

We were thinking of Fulham but we aren't fussed really. The Town Hall is only over the bridge so it wouldn't be too far for people to travel. What's parking like at the pub?

Julie's in Notting Hill is lovely and romantic with all sorts of little nooks and crannies and a function room (not v big though - maybe 25) - or the Orangery at Holland Park is lovely - what numbers are you looking at?

beansprout Wed 23-Mar-05 16:31:15

GG - thanks for those, will have a look. We are thinking probably about 50 guests inc children.

Oooh, Oooh, can I recommend \link{http://www.trafalgartavern.co.uk/the Trafalgar Tavern} I got married there. It's cheaper on Fridays and Sundays (or midweek) and there's the Royal Naval College next door for photos, and the children's playground in Greenwich Park is 5 minutes walk away.

Trafalgar tavern Sorry.

beansprout Wed 23-Mar-05 17:06:42

Slug, that looks amazing!

It really is a fantastic venue. The tavern is downstairs and the rooms upstairs can be booked. We did the whole thing there, including the ceremony. They closed off the bit with the tables and put chairs out, The registrar stood with his back to these huge bay windows and as we said our vows boats went past under full sail. We all trooped out into the small private bar and stood on the balconies to have drinks while the staff set up the big room. They opened up sliding doors to reveal the tables and the part we did the ceremony in became the dance floor. We had 60 guests and they all fitted in nicely.

Just to add, we got married on a Sunday which meant the car park next door wasn't too crowded and the place cost us half of what it would have on a Saturday.

On a Sunday? Ah, good point, didn't realise I could do that!
