Okay - in the past when I booted up, I'd get the blue 'welcome' page then it would go to desktop. Now, all of a sudden, (I've done nowt, honest guv!) it's a split page with 'welcome' and on the other side the 'owner' logo which I have to click. it also goes back to this page if I've left the computer for a while, well, screen saver but when I click any key it goes back to the 'admin' page.

wots going on? can I change it back to the way it was?

It sounds like you put an account on it? one without a password. So you don't have to enter a password to get in, but you do need to select the account icon.
