URGENT! Spelling help needed!!

Help! I'm in the middle of an audio transcript and can't find out how to spell - I'll do it phonetically - burocracy?

My spelling checker keeps giving me autocrat as an alternative and my 1976 dictionary is no help.

I find google really good for spelling (as I'm hopeless) I put in what I 'think' is right and do a search and invariably it comes up with "did you mean xyz"

Gwenick is right.

senora - I think what happens is those are all the website with the wrong spelling on them - I've found some really classics while googling for stuff

There's only one spelling of it in my dictionary, and it's Gwenick's.

usually, yes, but there are 5000 in the UK - seems high. Not that I'm bitter about being wrong or anything!

Dictionary.com is usually pretty good when you're stuck.

Smugness slightly tarnished by spelling right wrongly .
