Right.

on monday I have to put in my request for my final (management) placement. I had intended to go back to Inpatients but as im going there again in October, I have looked at other teams and am now trying to decide which one will be the best option to 'launch' me into being a qualified MH nurse.

Im now quite keen to go with Home treatment team, I suppose predominatly to gain more assessment type skills and I really feel that in order to 'nurse' those with mental health problems, you really have to be able to cope with them during an acute phase of illness. (Hope that makes sense)

But.... I dont want to go into a team and feel out of my depth.

So I was wondering what types of things you would expect an end of year three student to know/do within the team.

Hope this all makes sense.

Emma I work in one. I am happy to answer your questions but would prefer not to on an open forum. Feel free to CAT me if that helps, or let me e-mail you. No problem if not or if you already have answers.

(I worry that in giving detailed answers I might be identifiable)

I am out all day but will be back this evening and on mnet (as usual)
