It is the "Presented in an exclusively designed, limited edition handmade basket" that clinched it for me, it's being delivered after I win the lottery on Saturday.

Hangingbellyofbabylon Tue 23-Sep-08 17:07:32

wow, have you seen the christmas crackers at the back? £299 for 6! It is a little obscene but if someone gave me them I'd be secretly thrilled.

georgiemum Tue 23-Sep-08 17:17:35

B**cks. Cost more than my first car. In fact 5 times the cost of mt first car.

I hate hampers anyway - you always get a couple of nice things and a whole load of things no-one buys anyway.

And their Santa is booked up for this year... arrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain Tue 23-Sep-08 17:22:54

You could always spend your dosh on this instead...

0-3 months shock

georgiemum Tue 23-Sep-08 17:43:40

Does that price include the nanny and butler?

TsarChasm Tue 23-Sep-08 18:22:16

Does it have a Harrods Fray Bentos tinned pie in it?

Eddas Tue 23-Sep-08 18:23:22

that looks like something step-mother would love, but then she's pretentious and likes to think she is better than she iswinkgrin

Peachy Tue 23-Sep-08 18:25:54

almost all are corporate gifts

when i worked for a corporation all I got was a sherry and mince pie

My mum used to work for the Sultan of Brunei and he used to send these out to loads of people at Christmas time. I had to go and pick ours up from one of their London houses once, and along with the 30 or so high end sports cars, there were about 100 of those hampers. At least I assumed they were pretty similar. Ours used to have several bottles of champagne, a christmas pudding and cake, bottles of vintage port, whiskey, brandy, chocolates galore, a whole ham, a whole smoked chicken, at least 6 glasses, jars and jars of stuff like pickles, jams etc, a whole stilton, other cheeses like a whole cheddar and other stuff like that, biscuits savory and sweet... it just went on and on. We were very grateful because we hardly had to buy anything at Christmas. The boxes were so big I had a piece of glass made for one and it's now our coffee table. Terribly OTT but gratefully received by us. We still get them despite the fact that she hardly does any work for them any more.
