Off to Cast in Space at Little Russell Street, London this afternoon. Has anyone been there before. Is the nearest tube Holborn?

Steph8880 Tue 02-Sep-08 10:06:05

Hiya have put this on Aug 08 as well, but wasn't sure if everyone had moved here!!

Christabel - thanks for the advice, to be honest when we went to Nemesis the woman (Sam) who we saw said they stopped doing kids a while ago cos they were too much hastle and too much paper work but started again a couple of years ago when they realised the kids and the agency were missing out!! it did put me off a bit.Think i am going to cancel our photo session with them and hope for a yes from UAN or Boss.

Our apt with UAN is Sunday morning, is anyone else going then?

Boss is 27th Oct, anyone going then?

If you get accepted by UAN would you go with them, or is anyone prefering Boss??

Thanks ladies

Good luck for all the UAN consultations x

Steph, I'm there on Sunday morning at 11. Ds is having his photo's done and dd is having some more done as she is already with UA, think they will be taking some of them together as well. What time are you there?

mummc2 Tue 02-Sep-08 12:35:48

Saw this thread on someones page and thought id ask for someones advice my dd is just 10 months was offered to modelling with an agency near me (sheffield) but have no idea what they should be like, what should pay for etc.... Anyone willing to help or explain how things work? never thought about child modelling before but everyone just kept going on about how gorgeous she is, so exploring it.

ichef Tue 02-Sep-08 12:39:21

julie4travel what agency is your ds/dd with? I'm sure you must have mentioned it before but forgot.

melody - good luck today!

liahgen Tue 02-Sep-08 12:40:14

anyone else doing John Lewis Thurs and Fri?

LilRedWG Tue 02-Sep-08 12:40:51

Have decided to hold out for a cheap/free one for DD as she is only two. Waiting to hear from Boos and MOT at the moment and will let you know.

julie4travel Tue 02-Sep-08 13:26:00

ichef - between kids we are with bb, bk, and cs for theatrical work

mummc2 - dk in sheffield are supposed to be a good one in your area, they do jobs like tomy etc. not sure of their fees etc

liahgen - good luck with the john lewis shoot

marymay Tue 02-Sep-08 14:35:06

liahgen..dd was penciled in for friday but we had a phone call this morning to say john lewis had decided to go with a different age group.
good luck to your dd or ds

julie4travel Tue 02-Sep-08 14:49:56

marymary - kind they let you know as normally you don't seem to hear on pencils unles they confirm!

marymay Tue 02-Sep-08 15:02:41

I thought that as well ,it was really nice of u/a i think dd would have been a bit upset if it wasnt for the girls mag next week.
your ds has been really busy i cant keep up with them all on the msn group. smile

Steph8880 Tue 02-Sep-08 16:49:43

Hiya 3 kids1cat, my appoinment is 11am Sunday!! thought i must have got it wrong when i saw your post but just checked my confirmation email and it is. Do you think they ment to book 2 appointments at the same time?

I am out at a hen night on Sat so i will the one looking rough, lol!

pamelat Tue 02-Sep-08 16:55:40

Hi, reading your (many!) threads inspired me to send an application off to Bizzykids for my DD (almost 8 months)

They have provisionally accepted her but i wonder whether they accept everyone anyway?

Afterall, they want £120 from me so they may as well have all the babies on the books. Does anyone actually make any money from this?

Sorry if I sound a bit cynical!

liahgen Tue 02-Sep-08 17:33:57

thanks ladies, it's my ds, he is 5.

Good luck to all this week. x

bogie Tue 02-Sep-08 18:19:21

pamelat what made you choose bizzykidz? have you tried b&b kids london and urban angels?

julie4travel Tue 02-Sep-08 18:47:32

pamelt - both my children were originally declined by bk when i applied a few years back. so no they do not accept everyone , saying that they prob are one of the agents who have more children on their books.
some agents like bb etc are limited to the amount of children they take on in each age group. also yes money can be made from jobs, my kids earnings are in their banks for the future.

MelodyDaisy Tue 02-Sep-08 20:51:36

bubbahead-How did it go today?
liahgen-Good luck, be sure to let us know how you get on

I have only got in at 8pm, managed to get to the casting as finished the Disney shoot early enough to attend the 5.30pm appt
My little DS1 did so well with filming etc, camera's, microphones, etc etc, not done that before, he did enjoy having as much food and drink as he wanted though
