Hello!
I am organising a Hen Dinner for my friend. Her Mum and future mother in law will be there, so we can't do anything too OTT, but does anyone have any ideas of fun stuff we can do at the restaurant?
I was thinking quizzes.. something to mix people up a bit and get everyone chatting. We will be dressing her up as well.

So...Any ideas?

We will be going out after too, so can do SOME stuff then grin

Thanks

PD

you don't need 'fun stuff' fgs

just have a nice dinner out

a glass of wine each usually helps 'mix people up a bit and get everyone chatting'

don;t be try-hard

So two ideas I know that worked well including Mums, Aunts, Mother-in-laws etc...

1) Medieval banquet at a specialist restaurant. Including costume hire!

2) A treasure hunt around a city centre. Followed by dinner out afterwards.

Both were really very good fun!

I agree, dont try too hard to get games and stuff together. However, if you want to do something, my bridesmaid and hen night organiser asked everyone to bring something with them that reminded them of me and to tell everyone else the story behind it (after everyone had had a few glasses of wine). Because I had a mixture of old and new friends and work friends as well as my mum and SIL it did really break the ice. We laughed (at my expense needless to say) all evening at the stories.

Teafor two - the restaurant is already booked, and the age of some of the participants means that we can't traipse around. I would love a treasure hunt though!

Twofalls, I love that idea!

Mrs Badger, I take the "not trying too hard" on board, but I do feel that SOMETHING is expected. I want to mix it up a bit so that people get chatting etc. I don't want anything too contrived or tacky...
