I've been away for a week and Tigger seems to have disappeared. Is her farm OK? Has she posted at all in the last 10 days?

I am here alive and well and we haven't been infected by F & M. Took a bit of time out today and went swimming with a very good friend and her 2 kids, and then had a bit of theraputic shopping. Had our lunch out as well and really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for asking Spring.

A friend and I try to do this at least once a month, feels even more decadent if I take a day off work too...... How's your diet going? I intended to get on with mine when I got back from holiday, I've been back 5 days now and done nothing yet! In fact I intend to have a take-away and some vino tonight to kick off the weekend. Been a dreadful week....

Tigger is keeping a very low profile at the minute!, F & M is edging closer every day, and on top of that my mums brother had a massive Epileptic Seizure on thursday and he lives outside Edinburgh, so were up at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh today. The specialists are not sure if he had a heart attack as well, he had a triple bypass 4 years ago. We will of tomorrow I think be in an infected area, although the map area has not moved, MAFF are not keeping up to date with things at all and we are all quite p*** off, told one thing then another, and don't know what to do. It is now appearing in places a good distance away from previous outbreaks, and no one knows how it has got there, or so they say, and it is now appearing in places that have had their sheep taken out and the cattle left, so obviously it is incubating for up to 3 weeks. Anyway, time for caffeine and a fag, thanks for asking Star.

Tigger, so sorry to hear about your uncle. It is dreadful how bad things seem to happen together. Hope you are able to keep a degree of sanity and humour during all this.

Tigger, hope your uncle makes a good recovery. We just got back from a week in Northern Cumbria and the empty fields all around Wigton/Aspatria were very distressing. It's also reached most of the farms where my parents live (Cockermouth). We were at an Easter Sunday service in the town and there was a special collection for the C of E fund for farmers in need which was well supported. Fingers crossed for you all.
