Did anyone else have them after their LO's were born? I had it more noticably with DD1 I think, but (aah ) just felt one then, and DD2 is 5 months old!

My midwife had the same after the birth of her DS! I'm sure it's not wind too, maybe some sort of psychosomatic thingamyjig?

Yes, I can still have one in the bath (were I first felt ds kick over 2 years ago!) It always makes me laugh to think that what I got exited about was probably wind.

It also helps to explain those "I didn't realise I was pregnant stories".

PG, leave off those prunes ......

Lowryn Wed 16-Feb-05 08:26:50

I get this too, and I love it I never thought I would enjoy getting wind LOL! It just reminds me of being pg and the kicks were my favourite part of it all.

so weird!! i had this all day yesterday, felt like when i 1st felt dd move!! dd is now 13 mth!! think it must be wind but reminds me so much of being pregnant

Kelly1978 Wed 16-Feb-05 08:46:43

I got it for a few weeks after the births. It would be quite sad in a way, I would think it was baby moving, and then remember baby not in there any more! I think it was wind, but it felt exactly like kicks.

ds2 is 9 months old and I still feel these occasionally (usually scares me silly because I think ... omg I'm pregnant again!!)

pleaserewind Wed 16-Feb-05 14:49:37

i get it too! i was talking about it to a couple of friends the other day and they have it aswell. I assumed it must be wind but it doesn't seem like it, bizarre!

Fastasleep Wed 16-Feb-05 14:53:25

I'm so having one of those days I just read pleaserewind as 'pleasure wind' and thought she'd changed her name just for this thread! ... god I'm dopey today...

I also do Phantom baby noises from the pram, when I am pushing the pram home after dropping ds at nursery, and phantom crying baby hip swaying in the supermarket queue.

beansprout Wed 16-Feb-05 17:31:36

I get these too! Feel quite nice. I don't miss being pregnant but I always feel a bit squidgy when I get one, as they meant so much at the time.

Levanna Wed 16-Feb-05 23:29:20

I enjoy it too . Therefore I'm absolutely not going to concede that it might be wind . Who enjoys that?!

Levanna Wed 16-Feb-05 23:30:51

Bobby, phantom hip swaying! That one always makes me PMSL, DH and I always do it, in fact I've rocked the strangest inanimate objects 'to sleep' recently, and even gone so far as to sing lullabys .

joash Thu 17-Feb-05 00:29:43

I still get these occasionally and Ds is 15.

I thought it was something to do with a blood vessel and you can feel that pumping through. You become more aware of it after a baby

Casmie Thu 17-Feb-05 09:00:44

I prefer the blood vessel theory - sounds so much better than wind
